Overview
Doing a steel project in Tajikistan
Tajikistan is in Central Asia. The capital is Dushanbe. Local currency: Tajikistani somoni (TJS).
Tajikistan has no coastline: shipments arrive through a seaport in a neighbouring country (Afghanistan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan) and continue by road or rail.
Vietnam has no free trade agreement in force with Tajikistan. Imports follow the general tariff of Tajikistan, which is checked for each project in the landed cost estimate.
Victor Dang, Global Sales Director of World Steel Group, is the direct contact for projects in Tajikistan, from first drawings to fabrication, packing, shipping and documents.
