Overview
Doing a steel project in Burundi
Burundi is in Eastern Africa. The capital is Gitega. Local currency: Burundian franc (BIF).
Burundi has no coastline: shipments arrive through a seaport in a neighbouring country (DR Congo, Rwanda, Tanzania) and continue by road or rail.
Vietnam has no free trade agreement in force with Burundi. Imports follow the general tariff of Burundi, which is checked for each project in the landed cost estimate.
Victor Dang, Global Sales Director of World Steel Group, is the direct contact for projects in Burundi, from first drawings to fabrication, packing, shipping and documents.
